3D Printing at the Pottsville Library

The Pottsville Free Public Library has a new service: 3D printing! The 3D printer is available to the public to make three-dimensional objects in plastic using a design that is uploaded from a digital computer file. There is a size and print time limitation due to the size of the printer, and we are only able to print single-color items. $2.50 is due at the time of the request, there is a charge for the total amount of filament used which is calculated when the item is completed, and the digital file must be viewed and okayed by Library staff before we print the item for you. Stop by the Circulation Desk for more details about the policy for printing and to ask how you can use this service, or access the policy on our “Find Tech Resources” page.
Where do you find 3D-printable files? Thingiverse is a great place to start, although there are other resources for print-ready files.
