Join us on Thursday evening for the 2023 Read-In, and on Friday or Saturday for Mini Golf in the Pottsville Library!
Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Read-In, individuals will take turns reading sections of books, short stories, and poems by African American authors, in a celebration of the rich history of African American literature and newer stories intended for the young and the young-at-heart. This is an annual event in partnership with the Martin Luther King Family Enrichment Center of Schuylkill County, to honor Black History Month, and is free to attend.
Then on Friday we’ll close the Pottsville Library at 1 p.m. so we can set up the 18 holes of mini golf on the first and second floors of the Library! Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. is for adults ages 21 and older, with catered food and adult beverages, included in the ticket price of $35 per person. It’s a popular event so buy your tickets in advance! Low score of the night gets bragging rights for a year. Think it will be an easy course? Think again: we’re hoping to really challenge your putting skills this year. Or try your hand at Corn Hole on the second floor.
Saturday is Family Day from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., a perfect time for families and youth groups to enjoy an indoor activity together. There will be kid-friendly foods and drinks included in the ticket price ($5 per adult, $3 per child under 16).
So join us for fun @ your Pottsville Library this week!
