Now Collecting Pet Items for Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and traditionally non-profits ask their supporters for financial assistance on that date. Here at the Pottsville Free Public Library we do things differently: we ask our supporters to help us give to others in need. We will be collecting pet food and pet toys in October and November, and on Tuesday, Nov. 28, we’ll be distributing those items to those who are struggling to feed their pets. Want to join us? Drop off a new and sealed package of wet or dry pet food at the Pottsville Free Public Library, or a new pet toy. If you know someone who could use help, let them know about the distribution date. If you have questions please call the Circulation Supervisor, who is overseeing the project, at 570-622-8880 x18.
